LOST TOURIST DOLLARS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!
The National Pure Water Association has been campaigning for Safe Drinking Water since the 1960's and, I think, has presented us with a great opportunity to unit our global resources. They have outlined a excellent method to persuade obstinate officials to work for our cause and concomitantly, to reducing damaging industry influence on the environment. I should add that it might also be a good idea to always try to email (as email access is so easily available these days) inquiring about the water quality before visiting. This should help keep the officials informed of ours concerns on a continuous basis Hence, I am posting this letter from Jane Jones to my web site for your action and further distribution..
Thanks,
Chris Gupta
We have had copy letters from the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hawaii, Germany, Holland, France - and other locations which we have not been able to identify!
There are many stalwarts who will always respond to requests for letters to newspapers, etc. anywhere in the world. Letters direct to legislators are even more important.
By working together we CAN make a difference. If we expect the help of the International Fluoride Action Network in our own city, we must be willing to help others in return. It is in the interests of every single one of us.
The vote of the Commissioners of Pinellas County is due to take place on 24 June. Five of the seven are in favour at this time.
Many thanks to all those who have already responded to this request - and good luck to all those who will do so.
Best - Jane

Dear Pinellas County Comissioners,I do not take my family on vacation to any place where communities add "fluoride" to their water supply. It would be in our breakfast, lunch, dinner and every cup of coffee and tea that we drink - and even in our shower water. It would be impossible for us to avoid it.
Only 2 per cent of the global population drink artificially fluoridated drinking water - and most of them live in the United States.
So, if Pinellas County fluoridates, we will put it on our list of vacation places to avoid - and share it with our friends and colleagues worldwide.
Thought you'd like to know
Yours sincerely,

This paper by Prof. Joe Cummins is a very important 5 minute delegation made to London Ontario Canada "Civic Works Committee" public participation meeting on January 25, 2012 on fluoride*. Here is a commentary on the recent (Jan, 25th, 2011) Public Participation Meeting (PPM) on Fluoride in the City of London, Ontario. The meeting started with a strong pro fluoride stance form the City engineer. His lack of knowledge on chemistry of the toxic wastes used to fluoridate water could embarrass even a high school student never mind his own profession. He blatantly violated his "duty to public welfare" as... [read more]
