FOF Questionnaire For Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA) Members

In an effort to educate the health food stores - I developed the following questionnaire. While this is directed to the Canadian issues it could easily be applied, with appropriate modifications, to other regulatory situations. Thought the questions might stimulate discussion and help all to see the situation more clearly on why we all are fighting for our health freedoms. Click on the title below for the actual questionnaire with proper formatting and contact information etc. It is amazing - how many health food stores trust their association to look after their interests and some simply feel that they are too busy, and think they cannot spend time with the very issue that could put them out of business! Of course the vested interests are counting on this misguided trust and continue to milk the situation for all its worth.

Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA) Member Questionnaire

1.      Are you aware of the National Health Products Directorate (NHPD)?

2.      If so, are you aware of the new Natural Health Products (NHP) regulatory framework?

3.      Are you aware that applying the above regulations will block the sale of any currently available health product (particularly if effective) or significantly increase their cost?

4.      If this happens, do you think, many or maybe all small and some medium size businesses will be forced to close?

5.      Did you know that this has already happened in Australia? Similar entrapment is now well on its way in Britain & the European Union (EU).

6.      Are you aware that the media & mainstream medicine make a big issue of generally trivial side affects of NHPs while neglecting death & major side effects from drugs which are nearly all toxic?

7.      Did you know that there has only been one death in Canada in the last 30 years that was likely attributable to a NHP compared to 1000s from the highly quality controlled & regulated drugs?

8.      Given the above do you still think more regulations are needed to protect the Canadian consumer form NHPs?

9.      Did you know that many safe, effective & low cost products like vitamin K, SOD, amino acids are available freely in the U.S. but are not available in Canada due to Health Protection Branch (HPB) regulations?

10.       Do you think that Health Canada's HPB could better protect the Canadian consumer if it used its limited resources on generally toxic drugs instead of the generally safe NHPs?

11.       Do you believe that NHPs compete with pharmaceuticals?

12.       Did you know that HPB directors and scientists have several times publicly objected to, and even quit because of internal pressure from senior HPB officials to approve drugs that had not been properly tested, or in which testing had shown to be unsafe yet the government has never investigated the HPB?

13.       Did you know that most of the pressure to regulate NHPs comes form the drug regulating branch of HPB?

14.       Did you know that there are no provisions to protect the consumer form conflict of interest (many HBP officials have had direct connections to drug companies) in the HPBs current or proposed NHPs regulations?

15.       Did you know that many activist/health/environmental/industry associations and groups, in whole or part, are funded by corporations with vested interests as this is the most effective and the best public relations tactic money can buy?

16.       Given this information can you afford to leave the protection of NHPs, on your behalf, in the hands of CHFA only? Remember similar organizations in Australia, sold out their members (Britain and EU are following the same footsteps)?

17.       Do you not find it strange, given the escalating costs & the high toxicity of drugs & the thousands of studies on the safety & effectiveness of low cost food supplements like vitamins, amino acids, HC never promotes these alternative?

REF TO BEL MARRA NUTRITIONALS. Order joint formula on August 10th 2006 cheque was cashed on 24 August 2006 no products. found address no phone number. Been ripped off IS their anyone out their who has a phone number on this company? Beware this company is a con artist.Did a search on the net has been registar with Canada Heath at this address 360A Brock Ave Toronto Ontario M6H 3N3 no phone number at all.

Who is the "food doctor?" Google takes you to a Victor L. Marchione, a pulmonary doctor. There is no similarity between the web photo and the one in the flyer of the doctor.

I think sometimes we all forget that Rome was not built over night, I have been ordering product from all over the world and most of the time it takes 4 to 6 weeks, and reason for that is that I don't pay for the delivery. So lets not be cheap pay the $15 to $20 extra on top of the price of the product and maybe you will get faster service�.

I ordered wine pills plus appropriate gifts on April 18th/08. Cheque of $99.95 was cashed, however no product! I am a pensioner and have to live on a small income and it would hurt me very much if I was ripped off!

Call the Canada Post and let them know that this is fraud advertising. Tell them not to mail out their flyers. Postage paid by admail number 7001034. Get that person behind the scam's flyers stopped.

A little digging goes a long way. Those looking for Bel Marra Nutritionals will be interested to know its linked with Lombardi Publishing.
