Humans Run On Zero Point Energy -says Scientist
Kremer brings a quantum physics understanding to the nature of the energy system in mitochondria. He says that chemical energy theory of ATP is wrong. Kremer says we run on Zero Point Energy --extracted from the vaccum by modulation of a low frequency electromagnetic field associated with the ATP molocule.
Turmeric, Spice of Health
Turmeric comes from the root of the Curcuma longa plant and has a tough brown skin and a deep orange flesh. The volatile oil fraction of turmeric has been demonstrated significant anti-inflammatory activity in a variety of experimental models. Even more potent than its volatile oil is the yellow or orange pigment of turmeric, which is called curcumin. Curcumin is thought to be the primary pharmacological agent in turmeric. In numerous studies, curcumin's anti-inflammatory effects have been shown to be comparable to the potent drugs hydrocortisone and phenylbutazone as well as over-the-counter anti-inflammatory agents such as Motrin. Unlike the drugs, which are associated with significant toxic effects (ulcer formation, decreased white blood cell count, intestinal bleeding), curcumin produces no toxicity.
Folic Acid May Lower Stroke Risk
The largest improvements in stroke risk were seen in people who:* Took folic acid supplements for more than three years (29% lower risk).
* Achieved the highest reductions in blood homocysteine levels (23% risk reduction).
* Had no prior history of stroke (25% reduction).Taking folic acid supplements was also found to lower stroke risk by 25% among people living in areas where grains have not been fortified with folic acid.
Diabetes: Pumpkin extract to end insulin injections?
The protective effect of pumpkin is thought to be due to both antioxidants and D-chiro-inositol, a molecule that mediates insulin activity. Boosting insulin levels has the effect of lowering blood sugar levels, which reduces levels of oxidative oxygen species that damage beta-cell membranes, preventing further damage and allowing for some regeneration.
Low vitamin D levels may be common in otherwise healthy children
Many otherwise healthy children and adolescents have low vitamin D levels, which may put them at risk for bone diseases such as rickets. African American children, children above age nine and with low dietary vitamin D intake were the most likely to have low levels of vitamin D in their blood, according to researchers from The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
This article is interesting for what it doesn't mention: recent research that shows low levels of vitamin D not only to cause rickets, which are a sign of EXTREME deficiency. The vitamin also protects against serious infectious diseases, the flu as well as cancer.
BlueCross Secret Memo: Scared of ‘Sicko’
An employee who works at Capital BlueCross has sent us a confidential memo written and circulated by its Vice President of Corporate Communications, Barclay Fitzpatrick. His job, it seems, was to go and watch “Sicko,” observe the audience’s reaction, and then suggest a plan of action for how to deal with the movie. The memo, which I am releasing publicly in this email, is a fascinating look at how one health care company views “Sicko” — and what it fears its larger impact will be on the public. The industry’s only hope, the memo seems to indicate, is if the movie “flops.”
Texas Attorney General sues Mannatech over claims
Investigators said Mannatech exaggerated claims about the therapeutic benefits of its dietary supplements and nutritional products for people with cancer, Down syndrome, cystic fibrosis and other serious illnesses in order to increase sales. Documents filed in Travis County District Court allege Mannatech's "deceptive practices" pose a health risk to seriously ill consumers who may forgo medical attention because of the company's claims.
The case illustrates the monopoly position pharmaceutical firms have built for themselves on anything to do with health. Preventive nutrition and cures affected by helping the body fight off illness have become all but clandestine. Yet, it is pharmaceutical medicine that has become one of the leading causes of death and injury, not nutritional supplements. Time for a change?
FDA TYRANNY TO BECOME LAW
FDA management is in bed with Big Pharma and this new legislation makes matters significantly worse through the creation of the Reagan-Udall Foundation for the FDA. This new entity places the FDA in charge of drug design, drug patents, drug licenses, and the creation of new marketing entities/companies. Such a relationship with private industry is an unprecedented conflict of interest, totally at odds with drug safety.
Chinese regulator executed for graft
CHINA yesterday executed the former head of its food and drug watchdog following his conviction in May for taking bribes to approve substandard medicine blamed for several deaths. The sensational downfall of Zheng Xiaoyu, 62, saw the high-ranking bureaucrat become a symbol of the nation's endemic graft problem. Zheng was sentenced to death in late May after being found guilty of accepting 6.5 million yuan ($990,000) in bribes in exchange for approving an antibiotic blamed for at least 10 deaths, and other substandard medicines.
Video: Food From The Matrix
An excellent documentary dealing with many controversial issues such as MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) Aspartame, Fluoride and SSRIs. ... all » Based upon an interview between Dr Russell Blaylock (a board certified neurosurgeon) and Jeff Rense, it shows how MSG is extremely bad for the body, not to mention the chronic toxicity in our bodies from Fluoride. It takes a snapshot look at Cho Seung Hui, and his possible link to SSRIs, as well as Eric Harris in the Columbine Shooting...
Natural Healers Must Separate from Allopathic System
The only way we can be part of the present system is to “allow” them to control us and to keep us in a subjective position. We can then be useful to them. We can be “used” to cater for hopeless cases that have been so filled up with toxic drugs that recovery becomes almost impossible. Better they die in “our” care than where they were poisoned. I see this as the future if we continue to try to be “accepted” by the industry that requires more sickness in order to survive in its present form, and the way it is continuing. They want us to become “auxiliars” of the allopath-drug system.
UK: MMR vaccine responsible for surge in autism?
The number of children in Britain with autism is far higher than previously thought, according to dramatic new evidence by the country's leading experts in the field. A study, as yet unpublished, shows that as many as one in 58 children may have some form of the condition... Although the new research is purely statistical and does not examine possible explanations for the rise, two of the authors believe that the MMR jab, which babies receive at 12 to 15 months, might be partly to blame.
Diabetes drug side effect reports triple
In the month after a surprising analysis revealed possible heart risks from the blockbuster diabetes drug Avandia, reports of side effects to federal regulators tripled. The sudden spike is a sign that doctors probably were unaware of the drug's possible role in their patients' heart problems and therefore may not have reported many such cases in the past, several experts said. It also shows the flaws of the safety tracking system and suggests that a better one might have detected a potential problem before the drug had been on the market for eight years.
Another Caution on Cardiovascular Risks From HRT
"Data from [the WISDOM study] suggest that women starting or restarting combined estrogen and progestogen therapy an average of 14 years after menopause are at increased risk of cardiovascular disease and venous thromboembolism, at least in the early years of treatment," wrote Alastair H. MacLennan, M.D., of the University of Adelaide, and colleagues in Britain and New Zealand.
MEDCO report: Girls at Risk
The most recent report by MEDCO Health Solutions, the nation's leading pharmacy benefit manager, analyzing use of psychotropic drugs in children is so disturbing that the company's chief medical officer, Dr. Robert Epstein, expressed concern about the "unparalleled rise in adolescent girls using prescription drugs to teat diabetes, sleep problems, and psychological disorders."The astronomical rise in diabetes type 2 in adolescents parallels the atronomical increased use of the atypical antipsychotics in children. This drug-induced epidemic will go down in history as the crime of the century.
Use of statins linked to development of ALS
Dr Ralph Edwards, director of the WHO drug monitoring centre, has found that of 172 people in his database who developed Lou Gehrig's disease or something similar while taking prescription medicines, 40 had been on statins, the extremely popular cholesterol drugs. Lou Gehrig's disease, also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a degenerative illness that slowly paralyses patients until they die.
Plenty of skeptical comment from establishment medicine on this discovery, but Edwards is not the first to discover the connection between statin drugs and ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease. Jonathan Campbell has been warning us for years and the number of people who spontaneously report neuromuscular side effects on articles on this site is nothing short of astonishing.
1.5m wrongly told they risk heart disease
Current estimates of the number at risk of cardiovascular diseases are 1.5 million too high, the report says, suggesting the anti-cholesterol drugs statins are massively and needlessly over-prescribed, inflating the £2bn annual bill to the NHS. Statins are widely prescribed at £2bn a year to try to reduce some of the 100,000 annual deaths from heart illnesses. Michael Summer, of the Patients Association, said the scoring system needed revisiting: "Anyone with any doubts should go back to their GP with this study to make sure that they really need statins."
Book: Are you positive?
Although "Are You Positive?" is a fictitious courtroom drama in the style of John Grisham, actual cases like this one are appearing in real life today throughout the U.S. and Canada. 26-year-old Tyree Johnson is charged with first degree murder in a prominent South Carolina town. But his murder weapon is not a gun or a knife; in fact, there was no violent crime at all. His "victim," Beth Ann Brooks, dated Tyree for a few months, and they made love more than once. However, Tyree Johnson had been diagnosed HIV-Positive, and the prosecution claims that Beth Ann Brooks was infected with HIV by Tyree and died some months later. The defense, however, presents a number of expert witnesses who expose the myriad of problems associated with the HIV tests, trying to raise a reasonable doubt in the jury's mind that Tyree might not have been HIV-Positive after all and therefore had no murder weapon to commit this heinous crime. Based on more than 400 actual scientific studies and references, the author claims that every word of sworn testimony is true and verifiable. You be the judge.
WHY IS CHILDHOOD ARTHRITIS ON THE RISE?
More children are suffering from arthritis than ever before. Unpublished data released June, 2007 from a study conducted jointly by the American College of Rheumatology and the American Academy of Pediatrics at the behest of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states nearly 300,000 children in the United States have significant arthritis.Despite assurances by the Institute of Medicine and the FDA that vaccines are safe and have no association with arthritis, a review of medical literature suggests a different conclusion.
An Interview with Ben Hansen: The Drugging of America
Founder and president of the wickedly satirical Bonkers Institute for Nearly Genuine Research, Ben Hansen is an independent investigator, writer and activist in Traverse City, Michigan seriously alarmed by the over-diagnosis of mental disorders and the widespread use of psychiatric drugs in our society. Ben uses a two-pronged approach to raise awareness about the issue, by collecting hard evidence and scientific data pointing to the dangers of psychiatric medications, and also with biting humor lampooning the pseudoscience behind Big Pharma's slick marketing campaigns.
Gardasil: The Mercky World of Anti-Cancer Vaccines
[In the US] Merck cannot categorically state that Gardasil prevents cervical cancer for the simple reason that it has not been proven to do so in properly conducted clinical trials. This omission has not deterred the US Centers for Disease Control from recommending that all women between ages 11 to 26 years should be vaccinated. In New Zealand, Merck seem rather more brazen than their US counterparts in the claims being made for Gardasil. On their website - gardasil.co.nz - information is provided for both patients and health professionals. Both are informed that HPV causes all cervical cancer. It appears that our cervixes (or our litigation laws) are different to those of the rest of the world! The information provided for doctors makes even more bizarre claims; "Gardasil is 100% effective in protecting your patients from diseases caused by HPV 16, 18, 6 and 11" including cervical cancer!" Were Ministry of Health officials asleep when this one snuck under the radar?
Vaccinated Children Two and a Half Times More Likely to Have Neurological Disorders Like ADHD and Autism, New Survey in California and Oregon Finds
From 1983 to 2007, autism rates have climbed from 1 in 10,000 children to 1 in 150 children, a growth rate of 6,000% (boys are significantly more affected by neurological disorders, accounting for approximately 80% of all cases). ADHD currently affects 1 in 13 children. In the same period, the CDC's recommended vaccine schedule more than tripled. The simmering debate over the cause of childhood neurological disorders shows no sign of cooling, but no study had ever been done to look at unvaccinated children.
As always, the facts are slightly different from what is advertised. The article goes into a fair amount of detail to explain what Merck's PR releases leave out.
Two in three believe radiation from phones damaged their health
The survey, by the EU's Eurobarometer programme, which samples opinion across the continent, found 65 per cent of Britons believed mobile phones affected their health, and 71 per cent thought the masts did. Across Europe, the figures were 73 and 76 per cent respectively, sharply up from 55 and 58 per cent five years ago. Recent years have seen increasing evidence of risks from the phones. Scandinavian studies have suggested that people who have used them for more than 10 years are much more likely to get brain tumours, and thatthe radiation kills brain cells, which could lead to today's young people being senile from their forties.
Cell Tower Blamed In Animal Deaths
Rabbits, goats, even a horse are among the roughly 100 animals to mysteriously die at a Nova Scotia farm in the past five years. And with the recent deaths of a number of wild birds at the farm, the provincial natural resources department has stepped in and sent one of the animal carcasses to the Atlantic Veterinary College for testing. But after years of questions, Paula White believes she knows the cause: a cellphone relay tower erected beside the farm. A tenant on the farm for the past two years, White said the farm’s owner purchased the property about a year before the tower went up. Before the tower, the farm’s owner never experienced problems.
Tank Driver Claims Electromagnetic Radiation Caused Brain Injury
A colleague who would not be named said the man who stole the tank had a "vendetta'' against phone towers. "He told us he'd worked for a government agency where he had to work around the towers and got radiation poisoning. So he planned out a map of where the towers were that he wanted to destroy.''
Wireless broadband Internet access is all the rage.
The noise is drowning out concerns for this technology's risks.
In 2004, the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) decided that they would not permit cell phone antennas on firehouses. The decision was made by resolution at the IAFF's annual delegate assembly. The resolution directed the IAFF to review the potential health risks from cell antennas. If the science demonstrated a risk, then the union would oppose the use of fire stations as sites for cell antennas until further science demonstrated that cell antennas are safe. The resolution was passed in August 2004. In April 2005, the union's Health and Safety Department completed the review of the science. They found more than ample evidence to conclude that the union should oppose cell antennas on fire stations. The position paper included 49 references and a bibliography of 40 citations.
The Case for Localization
As technology continues to get smaller, faster, stronger, more embedded, and more intelligent it facilitates localization. At one time high capital investment costs and the resultant economies of scale prompted centralization and regionalization to amortize these investments. Now, rapid technological advances are placing increased integration, capability, and capacity in more compact and powerful packages. This scales the costs and complexities downward at a propitious rate. And it leads to very innovative applications that change how we live, what we do, and how we do it...
92% of Americans Want Country of Origin Labels on Food
"I was definitely shocked at how high these numbers were," said the study's coauthor Dr. Urvashi Rangan, a senior scientist and policy analyst at Consumers Union, the nonprofit organization that publishes Consumer Reports magazine. "It's much like a nutrition label or an ingredient label in that it needs to be part of the general information coming in about imported foods," she added. The poll was conducted with 1,004 telephone interviews between June 7 and June 10.
People are looking for locally produced food and often for the organic variety, that's not full of pesticides or other poisons. So some labeling of place of origin of the food seems essential.
Study: Organic Farming Can Feed the World
Organic farming can yield up to three times as much food as conventional farming in developing countries, and holds its own against standard methods in rich countries, U.S. researchers said on Tuesday. They said their findings contradict arguments that organic farming -- which excludes the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides -- is not as efficient as conventional techniques.
Despite Its Huge Flaws, Ethanol Is Political Holy Water in DC
It all sounds wonderful. But there are a bushelful of problems with ethanol, none of which fit neatly into a politician's soundbite. Of those many problems, four stand out: the massive subsidies; ethanol's inability to displace significant amounts of imported oil; its deleterious effect on air quality; and its effect on food prices.
Ethanol, just like biodiesel, the oily variety of combustible foods, will end up starving people in favor of driving our cars. Not only Americans will pay dearly for this attempt to maintain an energy monopoly that should have been abolished long time ago. And make no mistake, there ARE other options...
WTO About to Rule That Billions of Dollars in Cotton Subsidies Are Illegal
“... a World Trade Organization panel is expected to decide by July 20 whether the United States, which accounts for 40 percent of world cotton exports, has done enough to reform government cotton subsidies after an earlier ruling found the supports depress prices for foreign producers." More specifically, the article pointed out that, “At issue now are two remaining programs: marketing loans and counter-cyclical payments, price supports that are a bulwark for crops from cotton to corn to soybeans.
Twenty Things You Should Know About Corporate Crime
Corporate crime inflicts far more damage on society than all street crime combined. Whether in bodies or injuries or dollars lost, corporate crime and violence wins by a landslide. The FBI estimates, for example, that burglary and robbery -- street crimes -- costs the nation $3.8 billion a year. The losses from a handful of major corporate frauds -- Tyco, Adelphia, Worldcom, Enron -- swamp the losses from all street robberies and burglaries combined. Health care fraud alone costs Americans $100 billion to $400 billion a year. The savings and loan fraud -- which former Attorney General Dick Thornburgh called "the biggest white collar swindle in history" -- cost us anywhere from $300 billion to $500 billion.
Chemtrails and Terror in the Age of Nuclear War
North America is now suffering its seventh year of conspicuous and dangerous aerosol and electromagnetic operations conducted by the U.S. government under the guise of national security. Concerned citizens watch in fear as military tankers discolor the skies with toxic chemicals that morph into synthetic clouds. We continually witness bizarre meteorological occurrences as powerful electromagnetic devices manipulate both the jet stream and individual storm fronts to create artificial weather and climatic conditions. Black operations projects embedded within these aerosol missions are documented to sicken and disorient select populations with biological test agents and psychotronic mind/mood control technologies.
Although this is not a new article, it seems fitting to be reminded of what is happening in our skies, especially in view of recent erratic and perhaps somewhat abnormal weather patterns and skyrocketing respiratory ailments. Unintended consequences of the sorcerer's apprentices' atmospheric engineering?
